The ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ sign has greeted visitors driving in from Los Angeles on the south end of the ‘strip’ since 1959. By far Gin & Sake’s most popular piece; this photograph was taken just before dawn on a morning in September of 2007. The timing of the photograph presents a unique situation of a partially lit sky in combination with the sign’s lights still being illuminated. Due to the clarity of the image, some of the various details that can be seen include a shattered yellow bulb and a marking below the ‘G’ where perhaps a beer bottle was tossed at the iconic sign. ‘Dirty Vegas’ is a limited edition of 1,000. Printed on premium quality metallic paper and mounted to plexiglass. Signed and numbered.
